Unjust capitalism involves those who pursue wealth at the cost of environmental destruction. They wear masks that present them as cheerful, compassionate and environmentally conscious, while seeking the cleanest air, the cleanest environment and the finest plant, animal and aquatic life exclusively for themselves. Although the world faces the growing threat of pollution, these masked figures continue to seek the best living conditions and the finest climate solely for their own benefit.

Before It Falls
Every falling tile pulls an entire world down with it: a glacier, a forest, a wetland alive with frogs and dragonflies. Ecosystems are not isolated elements, but fragile balances defined by critical thresholds. Once these thresholds are crossed, they can trigger an irreversible chain of collapse. It was the hand of man that set this fall in motion. Yet among the wavering tiles, other hands hold, plant and rebuild—none acting alone. Those who triggered the collapse are also the ones with the power to stop it. Resilience is not a single heroic gesture, but the sum of countless coordinated efforts: the only force capable of stopping the final tile from falling.

Climate change and environmental destruction can often feel like events happening in distant places or in the far future. Yet they are already a reality. This work calls attention to the possibility that we, too, may one day lose our homes, just like the polar bears, and urges us to recognise the need for change.

In this illustration, a fish is surrounded by pieces of fabric and other waste discarded into the sea. As this waste gradually breaks down, it releases harmful pollutants into the water, reducing water quality and damaging the marine ecosystem. Many marine animals also mistake this waste for food and ingest it, which can cause serious harm and, in some cases, lead to death. This artwork highlights the importance of protecting our oceans and reminds us of our responsibility to preserve the environment for the future.

This work portrays a small, metaphorical world enclosed beneath a glass dome, suspended between two possible futures. Outside, pollution and the climate crisis continue to spread, while within, the possibility of harmony between humanity and nature remains alive.
At the centre, three symbolic figures—Sun, Wind, and Nature—embrace one another, representing the unity of natural forces and the potential of renewable energy.
This fragile world stands as a reflection of our own: its future is shaped by the choices we make today.

This illustration depicts animals from cold climates gathering in the frozen food section of a supermarket, using it as a temporary refuge from the heat. At first glance, the scene may appear heart-warming, yet it carries a subtle sense of irony: the frozen food section has become the coolest place they can find. Through this contrast, the work invites viewers to reflect on the effects of climate change.

This illustration explores how the loss of biodiversity and our growing dependence on digital technology are reshaping the way we perceive nature. Guided by instinct, a hummingbird mistakes a flower displayed on a smartphone for a real one. In the second panel, the broken screen reveals the illusion, yet the absence of real flowers remains. The work reflects on how direct experiences of nature are increasingly being replaced by digital representations. Yet no digital image can ever replace the real ecosystems on which every species depends.

This illustration presents a museum in which nature itself has become an object of preservation. Extinct species are displayed alongside an empty showcase labelled “Clean Air,” symbolizing the growing loss of a fundamental element that sustains all life. The fingerprint-shaped map marked “You Are Here” places humanity at the centre of this environmental crisis, while also reflecting our responsibility for the changes taking place on Earth. The surrounding maze represents the complexity of human choices and the difficult path we have created for ourselves. Through these elements, the work invites viewers to reflect on the value of protecting nature before what is essential becomes something we can only remember.

Title: The Inheritance
Before knowledge was written in books, it was passed from one generation to the next through observation, patience, and shared labour. Inspired by the enduring African tradition of apprenticeship, this work depicts a grandmother carefully mending a living tapestry woven from forests, rivers, fertile soil, clean water, and open skies, while her granddaughter learns quietly at her side. The Earth is never inherited in perfect condition; it is placed in the care of each generation to restore, protect, and pass on. Every stitch becomes both an act of healing and a lesson in hope, resilience, and shared responsibility.

Not My Business portrays the cascading consequences of climate change and deforestation. As forests disappear, displaced wildlife is forced together into an ever-growing living sphere that rolls relentlessly towards human homes. Inside, people remain absorbed in their own comfort, relying on air conditioning while appreciating nature only as decoration on their walls. The work challenges the illusion that biodiversity loss is “someone else’s problem,” reminding us that the consequences of ignoring nature today will inevitably become part of our own future.

Using “haircutting” as a metaphor for the energy transition, giant shears cut away the smokestacks of thermal power plants, transforming their exhaust emissions into net-zero clouds. The cloudscape reveals the low-carbon greenery of urban farms, where photovoltaic and wind power generation are integrated with both land and water. Through agricultural-electricity symbiosis and fish-electricity symbiosis, the work envisions a shared path towards a low-carbon and sustainable future.

Learning from Our Mistakes imagines a future in which rising seas have reshaped not only our cities, but also our values. Built upon the remains of a former skyscraper, this vertical community transforms adaptation into a shared way of life. Rainwater is collected, wind powers daily life, and gardens weave through every level, connecting neighbours with one another and with nature. At its heart, a classroom reminds us that resilience begins with learning. By sharing knowledge, food, and care, this community suggests that our greatest response to climate change lies not only in innovation, but also in our ability to grow together.

This artwork represents humanity’s journey from environmental destruction towards a more sustainable future. A stone bridge, engraved with symbols of renewable energy, nature, and stewardship, connects a polluted world to another filled with thriving ecosystems and biodiversity. People from different backgrounds cross the bridge together, expressing the idea that addressing climate change is a shared responsibility. By protecting nature, embracing sustainable solutions, and respecting the planet’s limits, the work suggests that a healthier future can only be achieved through collective action and a commitment to leaving a better world for generations to come.

This artwork symbolically explores how art and sustainable living can work together in response to environmental challenges. A girl rides a bicycle away from a smoke-filled, polluted city towards a brighter future, representing hope and positive change. Her bicycle represents clean and sustainable transportation, while the cat and heart-shaped sprouts suggest harmony between humans and nature. From her backpack, paintbrushes and flowing colours spill outward, transforming the grey city into a vivid landscape of blossoms, birds, and greenery. The artwork expresses the power of art to awaken environmental awareness, inspire responsible choices, and envision a healthier, more sustainable future for all.

When humanity turns to advanced technologies and planetary interventions to address the climate crisis, can we foresee all of their consequences?
This artwork imagines a future in which space mirrors are deployed to reflect sunlight and regulate Earth’s climate. Suspended above the planet, an astronaut represents humanity itself—observing and attempting to control the systems that sustain life. The layered Earth reveals how deeply interconnected these systems are, and how an intervention intended to cool the planet could also produce unintended consequences. The mirrors embody humanity’s power to intervene on a planetary scale. Ultimately, the work asks: Can we control nature without disturbing the balance we seek to protect?

Inspired by the camel’s hump as a symbol of evolutionary adaptation and the resilience of flamingos, this artwork reimagines the bird as an architect of survival. Its puzzle-shaped body reflects the interconnectedness of life, while the diatom within symbolises nourishment and the delicate balance of aquatic ecosystems.
Although flamingos typically lay a single egg and raise one chick, this mother nurtures many, becoming a symbol of collective responsibility and care. The green puzzle piece held in her beak represents a vital element of survival—carrying nourishment and hope for future generations. Like an unfinished puzzle, an ecosystem can only flourish through protection, repair, and collective care.

This artwork transforms endangered wildlife into collectable toys displayed inside a retail cabinet, symbolising the commercialisation of nature and humanity’s role in the loss of biodiversity. Marketing phrases such as “Limited Edition,” “Sold Out,” and “Out of Stock” emphasise the growing rarity of wildlife caused by habitat destruction, pollution, climate change, and exploitation. The mother and child represent future generations who may one day encounter these animals only through replicas. Ultimately, the work asks, “How many more do we have to lose before we realise?” and urges society to choose conservation over profit before more species become fragments of memory.

This artwork imagines a future in which nature exists only within museums. The extinct tree, bee, polar bear, river, and other species symbolise the consequences of failing to protect our environment. It invites viewers to reflect on the loss of biodiversity, to feel a sense of responsibility and urgency, and to recognise that we still have the chance to act before this imagined future becomes reality.

At first glance, this painting appears to depict a beautiful blue landscape. Yet beneath the surface, cities and lives are being devastated by rising sea levels caused by global warming. In order to make a lasting impression, I portrayed the contradiction between outward beauty and the harsh reality.

The Sea We Left Behind, 130 × 97 cm, oil on canvas, sequins, 2026

A girl carrying numerous floats runs uphill towards the place where the water should be. But the sea has vanished, leaving behind a winding, seemingly endless landscape that resembles the surface of an unknown planet. These striking symbols of the summer vacation become an emblem of consumer society, which continues to pursue its desires even as the world around us changes irreversibly. The work explores the discrepancy between expectation and reality and raises the question of what kind of world we will leave to future generations.

In "Path of Sunlight", a young cyclist moves through the shadow of a smog-filled city, surrounded by heavy traffic and towering buildings. Within this bleak environment, only her path is illuminated by sunlight. The rabbit nestled in her hood and the flowerpot carried behind her symbolise a gentle coexistence between urban life and nature. By choosing a bicycle over cars, she shows that resilient communities can begin with individual choices. Even in the darkest times, small and conscious actions can illuminate the way forward.

The future is shaped by the actions of every individual, no matter how small. Environmental destruction and human conflict can often feel too overwhelming for any one person to change. This story is told through the eyes of a child who loses the world he once knew. A familiar tree stands as a silent witness to the devastation. Turning the clock back symbolizes humanity’s ability to change course before it is too late. The final sprout reminds us that even the smallest action can mark the beginning of recovery—if we choose to act while there is still time.

Receipts, everyday symbols of consumption, are often discarded without a second thought. As they accumulate, they darken, turn into heat, and slowly begin to surround the Earth. What seems like a small and insignificant act becomes part of a much larger environmental cycle. The work reflects on how ordinary choices, repeated countless times across society, can collectively contribute to climate change. It asks us to reconsider the idea of waste: does what we throw away ever truly disappear, or does it return in another form, gradually reshaping the world we live in?
